This is going to be the next club project for the autumn / winter. At this price we cannot do anything other than recommend that we do this. We wanted to make a BITX transceiver but it came out expensive. This is a BITX and how they do it for the price we don't know.
This type of transceiver (a bi directional transceiver) is so good this project is a must.
MKARS 80 is an ssb transceiver on 80m with a proper xtal filter, all parts, pcb and case. Minimal metal work has to be done so no problem here. The instructions are good and the finished product is wonderful. Alan has already made his!!!
I will provide back up and if there are a fair number of takers the only parts not included in the kit (knobs) may be thrown in free.
So guys do it...you can then say with a bit of licence "working you on a homebrew ssb transceiver".
